We woke up early in order to experience a legendary Blue Angel practice session at the National Naval Aviation Museum. It was a stormy morning, and the show was cut short due to lightening. I am always amazed at the skill and teamwork involved in this elite team of pilots.
We spent a few hours touring the wonderful museum. We stumbled across this display focusing on the service of George H. W. Bush. He is a true American hero who was worthy of leading our country.
Scott became obsessed with castle making. In fact, Olivia commented, "I don't like building sand castles with daddy. He is too crabby about his castles!" His interest in this art form was actually unexpected and amusing.
Olivia turned countless cartwheels on the beach.
The finished product...
While eating dinner on the balcony that evening, we watched as a little girl destroyed the castle. We all wanted to voice our frustration at this inconsiderate family, but we managed to hold our tongues.
We finished the evening snuggled up watching the season premiere of the show, United Bates of America.
