If Only I Could Complain....

Every evening before bed, you spend a significant amount of quiet time relaxing in your room.

You often draw, read, create with legos, or think (deeply).

I discovered this piece of artwork while cleaning your room last week.

I pray that you will always be aware and thankful for what Jesus did for you.

Sometimes, I am afraid...

that I will forget the simple things.- like hot-pink little toes running in the fall grass -like skinned knees poking through holey jeans Time is ticking far too fast, but I am thoroughly enjoying ever second of this journey! I love you both more and more each day!

Father's Night

Last night, we attended Father's Night at W.E.E. School.

You designed and carved jack'o'laterns and spent a few hours with your sweet daddy.

I was busy working. Needless to say, there are no photos of daddy.

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

We went to Stuckmeyer's Pumpkin Patch today with W.E.E. School.

You loved maneuvering your way through the corn maze, and strolling through the pumpkin patch.

My Grand-dolls

I LOVE playing babies with you sweet girl.

A lot has changed in past 23 years, I now play the role of grandma.

"Mikey" is an original vintage Cabbage Patch that I bought at a garage sale. He looks like "Andy", my first cabbage patch (down to the outfit). Fraidy joins in the fun every afternoon too!

Philippians 2:14-15

"Do Everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe" We have been encouraged to live a life without complaining. Our church has been given a 30 day challenge to change our "complaining" ways. Yesterday, we were at Sam's Club, and the lines were incredibly long. You started to complain, and I lovingly reminded you of this verse and our challenge. You responded, "Okay, I won't say it, but you know that I am thinking it!" I am certain that you learned to complain by following my example. I am dedicated to changing this ungodly behavior.

It could be a long, difficult process (for both of us)!

Apple Picking & Fall Festival

We spent (chilly) Saturday afternoon at the apple orchard. The apples were juicy, sweet, and down-right delicious. We then attended Concord Baptist Church's Fall Festival. We played games, rode on the hayride, and sampled the roasted corn. Let's just say...it didn't disappoint!
