Olivia's Day

Olivia's day started with momma snuggles, a pink polka dot dress, and matching butterfly hairbows. (It was Mother's Tea at our preschool.)

It ended with heart break, tears, and a turtle released into the wild.

What do ya think....did it go well?

I teach the "Turtle Class." While at recess yesterday one of my students yelled, "Mrs. Michelle, I just found a turtle!" He did. He found a teeny, tiny red-eared slider. Needless to say, I brought him home and did a little research. Andrew and Olivia have REALLY enjoyed 0ur over-night guest. Tomorrow morning he will be released back into his natural habitat, and the Turtle Class will be exploring the life of a red-eared slider turtle. I love it when my lesson plans change to include practical hands-on learning.
