Day 2

Scott and I decided to visit a local church on day 2. We wanted to experience what it feels like to be a random visitor off the streets. This may come as a shock, but the kiddos were not quite as excited about this adventure. I am embarrassed to admit that we bribed them with Krispie Kreme donuts and $5 to report back to us about what they liked and disliked about the children's' service. They provided us with  priceless information. Let's just say...we all left the service really appreciating our church!   At one point, I whispered to Scott, "You need to manage your ADD a little better."  He laughed out loud in response.

After lunch, we hit the beach.  Thankfully, it was a yellow flag day!

We were incredibly serious about our castle construction.  Before leaving home, we watched countless sand castle making YouTube videos.  We did look like hoosiers lugging our Home Depots buckets to the beach.  Serious folks don't use tiny, cute plastic buckets.  :)
Sand castle #1

Thankfully, he overcame the memory of his near drowning experience (ha) to enjoy an afternoon of boogie boarding.

Andrew kept begging Scott to bury him in the sand.

Scott decided to give them boobies.  Andrew was NOT excited about that!  His facial expressions say it all.
Scott then made them into a mermaid.
That evening we walked the pier.  I heard stories of people spotting loggerhead turtles off the pier, but we didn't see one.

 Daddy and daughter matched.
Before bed, we searched the beach for tiny crabs.  Olivia was even brave enough to catch them this year.
 Perfect day number 2!
