Wowzers. What a Weekend!

 We had an incredibly fun-packed family weekend which included a trip to the zoo, a shopping spree at the Goodwill Outlet, apple picking with the L family, a late night party at Grant's Farm, Oli's baptism (more on this when I get the actual photos), a family wedding, and several family walks around the neighbor.  Yep.  I am exhausted!

 Jaxson was able to see a lot of the animals.  It was precious to watch him.

 This is the only photo that I actually took of Oli's baptism.  I love how she is anxiously making eye contact with me across the baptismal while holding her daddy's hand.

Weekend in Review

1.) Family date night at Sweet Tomatoes followed  by a Duck Dynasty marathon.

2.) Early morning garage sales with my favorite little lady who just so happened to score several adorable outfits that she loves.

3.) Cool Saturday morning swinging at the park.

4.) A never ending game of real Monopoly (not Monopoly Jr.)

5.) Finding the perfect buyer for our maiden mini-van.  In case you are wondering, the "Junk in the Trunk" sticker was removed.  Andrew did comment, "We should just cross out the "in the Trunk" part.

6.) Eating breakfast and driving to church all together for the first time in over 4 1/2 years.

7.) Observing (from afar) our children building positive friendships that will hopefully last a lifetime.

8.) Finding the perfect pair of silver slippers for our princess to wear to the Royal Ball.

9.) Watching my 3 favorite guys camped out on the sofa mesmerized by Sunday afternoon football.

10.) Making new friends at our very first Sunday Night Life Group for the fall.

Weekend in Kentucky

The kiddos and I tagged along with Scott on a business trip to Louisville, Kentucky on Thursday.  We spent a fun filled family weekend in the Bluegrass State.

We toured Claiborne Farm on Saturday morning.  Secrectariat spent many years on this farm working as a stallion. In fact, he is buried on the property beside both of his grandfathers.

Olivia is posing in front of Secretariat's stall. It has been the home to only 4 stallions.

We did a little research on an app called TV Food Maps.  Parkette Drive In was at the top of the list for interesting restaurants in Lexington.  Olivia kept asking, "Is this like an old timey Sonic?"

We  couldn't leave Louisville without watching a Louisville Bat's game.

The Diaper Doozies were a big hit with Andrew and Olivia.  Potty humor at its finest...

We got up early on Sunday morning and surprised the kids with a day at Holiday World.  We spent close to 7 hours at the Splashin' Safari.  Jaxson and I found the perfect spot on a covered porch lined with wooden rocking chairs while the rest of the family played.

We loved Holiday World.  However, I found listening to Silent Night disturbing while applying sunscreen on a hot August morning.  

Thankful for a beautiful weekend making memories with my loves.

Weekend in Review

We had a really low key weekend spent at home.  Scott and Andrew were both struggling with allergies, and the house was in desperate need of attention.  It took all weekend, but we managed to make it presentable again.  Woo hoo!  In fact, we donated several bags of junk and a box of books to our local Goodwill.

Scott and the kiddos did venture out of the house to watch cars race around an oval track.

Olivia decided that her gigantic bear would be the perfect playmate for our cutie patootie Jaxson Man.  He looks so grown up in this picture.  Be still my heart.

I observed several of these precious moments this weekend.  They are beautiful...inside and out.  Be still my heart.
