Scott and I have had several conversations in the past few weeks about the God given desire that boys have for adventure. We have vowed to provide unique (safe and legal) opportunities for our boys to channel their warrior spirits.
Before leaving my parents' house last Saturday, I decided that I wanted a family photo. As we were walking to my chosen background destination, Andrew made a detour to the dock and asked to jump in the pond. No one has ever swam in the pond with the exception of our canine friends. I giggled and said, "Go ahead!" Scott added, "I dare you." This is our super cautious, scared of ridiculous things Andrew. We both kept on walking and then heard a gigantic splash. We turned to discover Andrew swimming back to the dock. I stood there speechless before saying, "Do that again so I can take photos, and then go take a shower."
I did end up getting that photo...after Andrew showered.
He is pretty spectacular. I only hope that he doesn't pursue a career in bull riding.
