Easter at the Farm

We traveled to mom and dad's house on Saturday for an absolutely beautiful day spent outside. My parents filled and hid 46 eggs for each of their 3 grandchildren. The kiddos had so much fun. They fished, shot the BB gun, spent hours swinging, and of course, snuggled Abigail.

This photo makes me giggle.

Andrew decided that he would be the designated "fish taker off-er".

He stayed super busy.

If you look closely, you just might see a tiny fish hanging in front of the kitty cat rain boot.

Two thumbs up for a great day spent with family.

Spring Decor

I have become obsessed with decorating my entertainment center for all holidays while "spending less". It makes me think ahead and outside of the box. Everything I used was purchased at a thrift store with the exception of the colored eggs. (I splurged on them.)It is amazing what can happen with a can of spray paint. I decided to share in hopes that it might spark your creativity. I, for one love looking at what others create.

I just about went insane making these eggs (pinterest). 

I found these super fun birdhouses on clearance at Michael's yesterday for 45 cents each.  

I love the bright colors.

Last Day of Spring Break

The kiddos decided that waiting around to play outside in the sunshine was over-rated.

They geared up to play in the rain (or should I say, mud).

St. Patrick's Day

Our fun celebration began early by making rainbow cupcakes.

They were incredibly messy, but oh so much fun!

Did I mention that they were yummy too?

We strategically placed leprechaun traps all over our house.

They did however manage to saw and climb out on Thursday morning, hide our green popcorn, and leave us a not-so-nice note and green leprechaun poo.

We also ate a lot of green food.

We ended the day with an adorable puppet show.

Olivia and I Enjoyed a beautiful day on Wednesday.

She spent a lot of time working in the garden.

We are both itching to get our hands dirty planting flowers and vegetables.
