As I sit here writing this post, the temperature is in the upper 70's.  It is hard to believe that the photos below were taken less than 7 short days ago.

First Snow of the Season

The first snow came incredibly early, but it was absolutely beautiful.

Jax loved playing in the "no" with Bubba and LaLa.

The Biggest Snowman EVER

I do not enjoy the snow.  With that said, I am beyond shocked and amazed that I gave birth to two children who absolutely love it.  They spent all day Monday sledding, making snowballs, and creating the most adorable snowman complete with babies (thanks to Oli).  I stayed inside and watched through the windows.

I purchased two snowman accessory kits at Target a few years ago for a buck each.  I should have bought more!

We were gifted a few inches of snow on Monday afternoon.  It didn't translate into a snow day, but we had fun playing in what felt like a snow globe.  The flakes were enormous, and it was perfect for snowballs.  O was consumed with catching snowflakes on her tongue.  A used this opportunity to practice his snowboarding which made this momma very nervous.  

Snowfall has been minimal in St Louis this winter, but we sure have enjoyed every flake.

Our First Winter Storm in 2012

 Yesterday, we had an unexpected snow day. 

A and O insisted upon shoveling the driveway. 

After about an hour, I asked, "Are the 2 of you expecting pay?" 

 O quickly replied, "YES!" 

A said, "NO!" 

Then he whispered something in his sister's ears. 

She quickly added, "I am not expecting pay, but it sure would be nice!" 

I love snow days!

On Saturday, it SNOWED!

Grandpa and Grandma L. came for a visit.

It was the perfect snow to construct a snow fort. (I observed from inside.)

The two of you tuckered out, but daddy persisted until it was completely built.
