A Month of Thankfulness Day 12
Day 12
I am thankful for wonderful Christian fiction authors and publishers.
In high school, I read a lot. Eighteen years ago, I completely surrendered my life to Christ. It didn't take long for me to realize that the books on my teenage bookshelf didn't reflect Philippians 4:8.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
I vividly remember tossing the entire contents of my bookshelf into the garbage with the exception of my Bible. I then began scouring Christian book stores and library shelves for acceptable reading material. Let's just say...the variety left something to be desired. I stopped reading. Several years ago, I challenged myself to read 10 books in one year. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the variety of Christian fiction lining my local library shelves, and I was overwhelmed with the number of book suggestions that I received. I have been reading ever since.
I am currently reading the O'Malley Series by Dee Henderson. Love!
